HOW TO CHOOSE A BLOG TITLE?-THE SMART WAY

BLOG TITLE is a very important part of a Blog in the same way as a name is important part of us. It gives your blog an identity. It also plays a crucial role in optimizing your blog for the search engines. It also identifies which category your blog belongs to. Choosing a BLOG TITLE is rather easy if you know - how to do it in a step by step way. This post will show you - How to choose your Blog Title ?- The smart way. 

But before I go into the steps to help you choose your Blog Title let me first clear the confusion between a Blog Title and a Domain Name (URL) of a blog. The reason why I want to do this is that I have often seen people confusing the two. 

• Domain Name (URL) - The is the address of your blog - the thing that you type in the address bar of your browser to get to a website - for example the domain name of my blog is "www.makemoneyonline24hrs.com" and you type it in the address bar of your browser to reach my blog. You can not choose any domain name as per your likes because each address is unique and so if an address is already taken by a site it cannot be taken by anyone else - it thus depends upon availability. • Blog Title - This is the name of your blog - the thing that is shown in the Title Bar of your browser when you visit a site - for example the title of my blog is "ONLINE MONEY MAKING" and so when you visit the home page of my blog you get "ONLINE MONEY MAKING - Microsoft Internet Explorer" or "ONLINE MONEY MAKING - Mozilla Firefox" (depending on which browser you are using) coming up in the Title Bar. You have the liberty of choosing any blog title for your blog as it does not depend upon availability. 

TWO STEPS TO A GREAT BLOG TITLE :-

1. BLOG TITLE - THE PURPOSE - Before doing anything, we as humans generally question ourselves - What is the purpose? - so let me give you the purposes a blog title is meant to serve because this is very important to know before you go into the steps to choose a title for your blog.

• Subject - It informs the visitors about the subject matter of your blog in one glance.
• Attention - It catches the attention of your readers.
• SEO - It has great value in on-page optimization and thus is very important from the angle of Search Engine Optimization

2. BLOG TITLE - SOME POINTS TO REMEMBER - A good blog title must have the following things :-

• Reflect Your Blog Subject - As I have stated already that a blog title tells a visitor to your blog what your blog is about in one glance so no doubt it must reflect the subject of your blog.
  
• Be Short And Catchy - Blog titles are like ads that promote your blog so they must have a sparkle.  
  
• Keywords - Include the keywords that you are trying to optimize your blog for as the search engines search for the keywords in your blog title and even gives much weight to them while ranking pages in their SERPs. So they do have much importance as far as on-page optimization of your site (mainly the home page) is concerned.
  
• Uniqueness - It must be unique to be able to brand your blog and set it aside from blogs in the same niche. Though it is not always possible to choose such a unique blog title but try to do it if possible as the above points are much more important to be taken care of.
  
• Check The Spelling - This is quiet obvious as a wrong spelling would definitely send a wrong signal about your ability to your visitors thus you will lose your credibility at the very first sight. Also a wrong spelling of the keywords will stop the search engines from evaluating your blog rightly.
