HOW TO MAKE MONEY FROM BLOGS? 10 POTENT WAYS

How to make money from blogs? – Blogging is no doubt one of the foremost and potent ways to make money online. There are a lot of ways to earn money from a blog and day by day more and more ways are coming up to monetize a blog. I think at least 90% of the individual bloggers start a blog with the aim to make money from it and the fact is that – “Blogs do make money”. You too can make money from your blog but provided you know how to do it in the right way and choose the right monetizing programmes and techniques that suits your blog.
There are blogs that make well over five figures per month on one side and there are also blogs that strive to make even $100 per month on the other side. I hope you would like to see yourself on the five-figure side – of course it is not easy but definitely possible. Your aim must be at least to earn a decent income from your blog.
To make decent money blogging requires basically three things :-
•    Aim, Faith, Determination and Motivation – You must set your aim high – have faith upon yourself that you can achieve that income level – be determined to achieve it – keep yourself highly motivated. In fact it is very tough but the positive part is that it can be done too – many have achieved this then why not you? Just think that making high income from blogs is possible and work for it – don’t get distracted by side-talks. If you think it is possible then it is definitely possible but if you think it is not possible to make good money from your blog then you have already lost the game.
•    Right Knowledge – You must have the right knowledge about what all monetizing options are available and know to make the right use of them. This post will show you all the ways in which you can make money from your blog.
•    Traffic – You need lots of traffic to your site to really earn big money from your blog. Traffic is what will give life to your monetizing goals. Simply put – More the Traffic to your site = More money you can earn from your blog. In fact – No traffic = No money, – no matter what programmes you choose, what great content you have or how determined you are. MONETIZING OPTIONS – As I have already said there are many ways in which you can monetize your blogs and day by day more ways are being evolved and more and more money making networks are being started to let you make money from your blogs. Ways are many but there is the need of choosing the right ones so that it suits your blog and lets you earn money from your blog up to its full potential. These are the options :-
1. CONTEXTUAL ADVERTISING – “Contextual Advertising” where ads are served on a site page based on its content. This is the most common way of earning revenue from a blog. You are given blocks containing small contextual text ads or image ads to be displayed on your site by the advertising network you join. Each time a visitor clicks on the ads and visits the advertiser’s site you will be paid. You are also paid for each thousand times the ad unit is seen (per thousand impressions). You can choose from a variety of ad block types. The rate of payment varies from network to network and also on keywords.
The leader in the world of contextual advertising is “Google AdSense“. There are others like Bidvertiser, Adbrite, Text Link Ads, Azoogle Ads, Tribal Fusion, Double Click, and Yahoo Publisher Network(only US) just to name a few.
2. SELL ADVERTISING SPACE – You can sell advertising space on your blog and place banner ads for your sponsors in return for a fees per month. The money that you can demand depends on your Traffic volume and Search Engine Rankings on SERPs for different keywords. The more your traffic volume and the higher your site ranks on SERPs for specific keywords the more money you can demand. The rate also depends on the size and position the banner that is to be placed for example placing of a banner above the fold that is near the title or above a post can be charged more than for a banner placed on the side bars. You can sell ad space directly through your site or join an advertising network through which you can sell your advertising space.
3. SELL TEXT LINK ADS – These are also one type of selling ad space but instead of banners Text Link Ads are used. Besides advertisement value these text link ads have value for the advertisers in terms of SEO so they are in high demand. Besides depending on the traffic volume the rates that you can charge also depends on your PageRank. You can also set the rate based on keywords – with highly seached keywords being charged more. You can sell text link ads from your blog directly by making an “Advertise” page where you will list you rate chart. You can also sell text link ads through advertising networks like Linkworth, PaidTextLinks, OneMonkey, LinkAdage.
4. IN-TEXT LINK ADS – These ads use
keywords relevant to advertisers choice in your content and turns them into a hyperlink and each time the cursor comes on these hyperlinked ad words a small box opens showing an ad. You are paid on a per click basis. Join ad networks like Kontera, or LinkWords to start making money from your blog through in-text link ads.
5. PROMOTE AFFILIATE PRODUCTS OR LINKS – You can promote your affiliate links or products from ClickBank, Commission Junction, Amazon, EBay, Linkshare and get paid for sales or for specified actions. Put banners or text ads with your affiliate link or write a good presell review about the affiliate product or service with the affiliate link and post it as a regular posting. Visitors who will trust you or get interested reading the review will visit the affiliate site clicking on the link and may even buy the product or service thus earning you revenue.
6. WRITE REVIEWS – You can write sponsored reviews of a product, website or service etc and get paid by the sponsor. You can collect sponsors for reviews by advertising on your site or join a network like ReviewMe, PayPerPost, Payu2blog, SponsoredReviews, and etc to write reviews on behalf of them on your blog for their sponsors database and make money by being paid on per post basis. Take care to choose to write reviews only on products, services or sites that are relevant to your site content.
7. DONATIONS – You can ask for donations for a cause or for the good work that you are doing by providing useful information free of cost. You can also ask your visitors to buy you a beer/coffee or other items by making a donation. People do make donations if they find your information useful. To receive donations set up a Paypal A/C and then sign in to create a donation button to place on your site. Place the donation button in a proper place so that it is easily seen.
8. SEll OWN PRODUCTS – You can sell your own digital or physical products by placing ads for them. You can also sell your Resell Rights Digital products. Put banners or just text ads.
9. JOB BOARDS – If your site has enough traffic volume then you can put up a JOB BOARD listing job offers from various sponsors and charge them a monthly fee for putting their job offer on your Job Board. You can join Indeed and post job listings from the site and get paid.
10. RSS – You can make money from your RSS feed by embedding ads in your content text, putting text ads or banner ads, selling affiliate products and in a number of other ways. Join ad networks that monetizes your RSS feed like Feedvertising, CrispAds, Feedburner or Pheedo.
There are many more ways in which you can earn money from your blog other than the ways I have listed above. My list contains the most used options to monetize a blog. You always have the option of being creative and create your personalised ways to make money from your blogs. Remember the prerequisite to make money from your blog is “TRAFFIC” – without it all attempts to make money from your blog will fail. So properly optimize your blog and do proper marketing to get lots of traffic and in return get opportunities to turn your blog into a money making machine.
