HOW TO WRITE A GOOD BLOG POST?

Writing a good and unique blog post which is informative as well adds value to your blog. Good content in your posts also gives your blog returning visitors and subscribers. 1. Choose the Topic – Before you sit down to write a post for your blog it is quiet obvious that at first you need to choose what topic you are going to write the post on. So the planning must begin in your mind. It is always better to write posts on topics related to the topic of your blog. You must think from the readers point of view – that is what type of post a visitor can expect from your blog. Naturally he is going to expect posts on topics related to your blog topic. You can write on How?, What?, Why? and Where? topics which can be made quiet informative, are popular and are also searched for in search engines.
2. Note down Points – This is part of a pre-planned approach before you start to write a good post for your blog. Note down the important points that you want to highlight in your post in a notebook. After you have finished read the points once more and rearrange them according to the way that you would like them to appear in your blog post and then start writing your blog post. It is like polishing your sword before you go to war.
3. Choose Keywords – This is a very important aspect on which the search engine rankings of your post will depend. But to do this you will require the help of a keywords tool. Google AdWords Keywords tool is the best choice and is a web based tool available free. You will get both keyword ideas for your blog post and also the search volume for each of the keywords. Open the tool and type some words related to the topic of your post in the search box – then fill in the captcha – and press “Get keywords ideas”. Keep the synonyms box checked. 4. 5. Pay attention to the First Paragraph of your blog post – This is necessary for two reasons :-
1.    Visitors – Usually a visitor will read the first paragraph before deciding to leave or read the full post. So make it attractive and write in such a way that it initiates urge in the readers mind to read the full post.
2.    Search Engines – Search engines give special importance to the first paragraph (rather the first few paragraphs or more precisely the first 1000 words). So include your keywords here and there – wherever relevant. 7. Use Keywords Effectively in your post – This is necessary from the search engine optimization point of view of your blog post. Sprinkle keywords throughout your post wherever relevant. Use different combinations of the keywords. Make the keywords bold once or twice for more SEO mileage.

Write a Blog Post for Humans – I am mentioning this point separately just to remind you once more that don’t just stuff your post with keywords for SEO but rather use them only where relevant because you need to keep in mind that you are also writing for humans.
